Permit center to improve service to meet seasonal spike in building

Vancouver, WA – March 19, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The Community Development Permit Center is adjusting operations to improve customer service during the 2015 construction season.

Plans call for the permit center to reserve Wednesdays for appointments, animal licenses and payments starting March 25, according to Community Development Director Marty Snell.

By May 6, walk-in service will be phased out on Wednesdays. However, walk-in service will remain available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

“With building activity on the upswing, we will be making and completing as many transactions as possible while reducing the impact of unscheduled activities,” said Snell.

The permit center is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are available and encouraged throughout the week.

“By scheduling our services more efficiently, we can help others manage projects more efficiently,” Snell said. “Considering the nature and volume of our business, this new schedule will be a step forward for everyone who has a project in the pipeline.”

For an appointment, send email to permitservicesappt (at) clark.wa (dot) gov or call (360) 397-2375, ext. 4807.
