Notices of residential property values mailed

Vancouver, WA – The Clark County Department of Assessment and GIS will mail notices of new property values to about 114,000 residential, multi-family and condominium owners on Monday, June 16, 2008. Notices show the assessed value of each property on January 1, 2008. This value is used to calculate 2009 property taxes.

Property Taxes Due By April 30

Doug Lasher, Clark County Treasurer, stated that first-half property taxes are due on Wednesday, April 30. “If you have not received your 2008 first-half tax statement or have lost it, you can visit our web site at www.clark.wa.gov/treas or contact the Treasurer’s Office at 397-2252 for a duplicate statement.”

Appraisers to visit south county properties; set values for 2009

Vancouver, WA – Appraisers from the Clark County Assessor’s Office will be conducting onsite inspections in the south-central portion of the county from now through March to establish and verify property characteristics and conditions for use in setting values for property taxes in 2009.

Port officials say no tax increase expected for $300 million Tacoma project

Your taxes won’t increase to pay for the Port of Tacoma’s expansion.
At least that’s what port executive director Tim Farrell and most of its five commissioners are saying. Port executives announced (25 July 2007) that the port will build a $300 million shipping container terminal on the east side of the Blair Waterway.
