20-Year Commercial Real Estate Veteran to Oversee 2.5 million SF Portfolio

Seattle, WA – February 9, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — Global real estate investment and services company Kennedy Wilson has named Cathy Leap as senior managing director of property services for the Pacific Northwest region. Leap, who brings more than 20 years of property management and commercial real estate experience to the position, has relocated to the firm’s Seattle office.

Leap, who was serving as the interim regional director of operations for the Midwest region, will be responsible for overseeing the management of a 2.5 million square foot portfolio of primarily office and retail space, including the iconic 901 Fifth Ave. office tower, a 41-story high-rise located in downtown Seattle.

“The Pacific Northwest is booming with activity – particularly in Seattle’s downtown where global tech companies are moving in and the need for both commercial and residential space is spurring new construction,” said Jim Rosten, president of Property Services at Kennedy Wilson. “Cathy’s extensive experience in this arena will allow us to further expand into the market and solidify our presence here.”

Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson, Leap managed 4.6 million square feet of rentable Class A properties in the central business district of Chicago and 3 million square feet of rentable commercial, industrial and suburban office properties in the Dallas metro area.

Leap’s previous positions include roles at Transwestern Commercial Services, CBRE and Prime Group Realty Trust. She holds the BOMA RPA designation and is also involved in the BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) local chapters in Seattle and Chicago, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Seattle’s Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Leap earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and is a licensed real estate broker.
