Notices of residential property values mailed

-

Vancouver, WA – The Clark County Department of Assessment and GIS will mail notices of new property values to about 114,000 residential, multi-family and condominium owners on Monday, June 16, 2008. Notices show the assessed value of each property on January 1, 2008. This value is used to calculate 2009 property taxes.

The assessor is required to annually determine the full (100%) market value of all taxable property in the county and notify property owners of any change.

The 2008 assessed value is based on the sales of homes and properties of similar characteristics and condition during 2007. Each year, sales data from throughout the county is collected, analyzed and used to bring all assessments to full market value.
