NEAR NORTH BEND, WA – August 11, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Have you ever wondered where your mountain fresh drinking water comes from? Find out this summer by joining Seattle Public Utilities for a tour of the protected Cedar River Municipal Watershed. These Saturday and Sunday, Naturalist-led tours, by bus and by foot, are a great opportunity to learn about and see your drinking water in this unparalleled protected Cascade Mountain water supply. WHEN:
The Watershed Tour : Every Saturday and Sunday from August 8 to September 6,
Starts: 10:00 a.m. 2.5 hours (10 & older)
Family Watershed Tour: Every Saturday and Sunday from July 11 to September 6,
Starts: 2:00 p.m. 1hour (All ages)
TO REGISTER: Registration is required and available online or by calling (206) 733-9421.
COST: Between $5 and $10 per person, per tour
WHERE: All tours start at the Cedar River Watershed Education Center, just southeast of North Bend (about 30 miles from downtown Seattle). Web link: www.seattle.gov/util/crwec
DIRECTIONS: From I-90 going East, Take Exit 32 (436th Ave.) Turn right at the end of the off-ramp. Follow the road (436th Ave. SE, Cedar Falls Rd. SE) for about 2.5 miles to Rattlesnake Lake. Continue with the lake on your right side until you reach the Cedar River Watershed Education Center in about ½ mile. Map
