WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 11, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — OLYMPIA…The Office of Secretary of State’s Corporations & Charities Division is sponsoring a homeowners association workshop in Tumwater on June 28.
The educational workshop, geared especially for homeowners association members and boards, is at the Labor & Industries Building (7373 Linderson Way SW) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch provided.
The event features Foster Pepper attorney Gary N. Ackerman, who is an expert on homeowner and condominium association law. In addition to being a top-ranking member of Foster Pepper’s real estate practice, Ackerman recently was singled out by the highly regarded Chambers USA® legal directory, which annually interviews firm clients. In addition to a top-ranking of Foster Pepper’s Real Estate practice, Chambers noted Ackerman’s well-known representation of homeowners associations.
“The workshop is going to be very interactive, and hopefully will help association members and boards understand the law better, and what the Secretary of State’s role is in terms of registrations and renewals,” said Teresa Glidden, charity and nonprofit education coordinator for the Corporations & Charities Division.
There is a $10 per-person charge to help defray the costs of the facility and catering. Registrants can pay online when they register by credit or debit card.
