HOW TO SELECT THE RIGHT CONTRACTOR FOR YOUR HOME REMODEL OR CONSTRUCTION
Vancouver, WA – (RealEstateRama) — Finding a competent, reliable contractor can seem like a major hurdle to building or remodeling your home. Even with a good contractor, building new or renovating the old can be stressful, expensive and involve unpleasant surprises.
Learn simple steps to avoid a bad experience and ensure a successful home building project at the Tuesday, Sept. 20, meeting of the Commission on Aging.
The 4:30 p.m. meeting will be in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. It is open to the public.
Aaron Marvin, vice president of the Clark County Building Industry Association, will be the speaker. The son of a contractor, he has been in some facet of the construction industry all his life. Marvin is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Certified Green Professional and Certified Graduate Builder.
The Sept. 20 discussion is the eighth of 11 meetings this year focused on housing for older people. Research shows that 87 percent of people prefer to retire in place and will need accessible, affordable housing.
