Duwamish River Opportunity Fund awards $250,000 to 13 neighborhood projects

Mayor Murray announced $250,000 from the Duwamish River Opportunity Fundwill be awarded to 13 community projects supporting neighborhoods along the Duwamish River. This program provides funds for new and existing small-scale programs focused on challenges faced by Duwamish River neighborhoods during the Superfund clean-up.

City of Seattle awards $467,000 for neighborhood projects

The City of Seattle is awarding $467,562 in matching funds to support neighborhood-initiated projects across Seattle. Twenty-eight community groups received awards from the Neighborhood Matching Fund for a variety of events, cultural festivals and projects.

City awards $19.5 million to construct and preserve permanent affordable housing

SEATTLE - December 20, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Mayor Mike McGinn and Councilmember Nick Licata today announced more than $19.5 million in capital funding for the construction of five new apartment buildings that will serve homeless individuals, low-income individuals graduating from high-service need housing, seniors, rent-burdened and homeless families and low-wage workers. The investment, primarily Seattle Housing Levy funds, will help create 302 new permanent apartments, including some set-aside to serve veterans.
