Gov. Gregoire praises efforts to increase affordable housing

TACOMA, WA - September 15, 2008 - (RealEstateRama) — Gov. Chris Gregoire today applauded community organizations that provide families an affordable home. The governor spoke at the 15th annual affordable housing conference in Tacoma, a two-day event hosted by Washington’s Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission.

Notices of residential property values mailed

Vancouver, WA – The Clark County Department of Assessment and GIS will mail notices of new property values to about 114,000 residential, multi-family and condominium owners on Monday, June 16, 2008. Notices show the assessed value of each property on January 1, 2008. This value is used to calculate 2009 property taxes.

Free forums offer help for manufactured home owners and landlords

SPOKANE – A new state government program is helping resolve disputes between manufactured home owners and their landlords. A statewide tour titled “Don’t Move It; Solve It,” includes three stops this month in Eastern Washington to educate homeowners and landlords about their legal rights and how the Attorney General’s Office can help them resolve problems.
